Bay Line Cutting & Coring, Inc. recognizes that the pursuit of its mission cannot be realized without the well-being of its employees. Therefore, with the goal of having its employees return home safely after every shift, the leadership team has commissioned a Safety Officer to cultivate a safety culture that holds the well-being of every employee to be its greatest achievement. It is the mission of the Safety Officer to lower the firm’s Experience Modification Rating as low as possible. To do this, the Safety Officer has created and maintained an Injury and Illness Prevention Program that has instilled in every employee an attitude of “Safety First”. To cultivate this attitude toward thinking in terms of safety, the Safety Officer gathers all employees for a weekly safety meeting and forum that discusses safety issues brought up by employees for review–with the goal of educating all employees on safer working practices.
